BETT Awards 2021: We’ve been shortlisted again

We’re delighted to announce that we’ve been shortlisted in the BETT Awards 2021 for our secondary learning resource – The Islands!

The BETT Awards are an annual celebration of creativity and innovation in educational technology. This year in particular, with so much learning having moved online, we’re thrilled that the value of our well-established online/offline programme has been recognised.

The Islands is a blended EAL learning programme for secondary schools. It teaches functional ‘survival’ English, phonics and curriculum language for learners aged 11-18 years. It achieves the difficult balancing act of providing learning opportunities for students who are new to English, but who have an advanced level of maturity – at a critical stage of their education.

Do you have learners in the secondary age-range who would benefit from access to The Islands? Are you looking for a programme that can be used for independent learning and small-group teaching, to support induction-to-English, gap-filling areas of need or pre-teaching curriculum content? Do you need differentiated online and offline resources for secondary-level learners – with automatic assessment and tracking?
