What we deliver:
- Initial assessment and levelling based on reading ability before starting using our AssessEP platform.
- One hour pre-meet of Learning Village EAL Specialist and class teacher/s of the learners.
- One lesson a week – 30 minute lessons taught and 30 minutes independent learning for a minimum of 6 weeks.
- Proven methodology using images and game based learning
- Ongoing assessment progress tracking
- Self learning activities set for the learner to make progress across the week
- A qualified teacher with enhanced CRB checks delivering the online lessons
- Impact data to share with you, SLT, OFTSED or other key stakeholders
Note: Possibility of supporting the additional adult in learning how to teach EAL through the Learning Village.
Suitable for:
- Learners age 7+ (year 3 up)
- Lessons for learners of ANY language background
- Beginners through to intermediate (assessment will be provided)
- Note that learners must be of a similar level e.g. all beginners or all intermediate.
What do you need?
- Quiet space for the learner to work
- Access to video conference with camera, speaker and microphone
Supervision:
- An adult present to ensure the learner is safe and ready to learn
- An adult to support learner login and access to video conference
- Learner names and ages
What’s included?
- Six-week course
- Qualified EAL teacher with enhanced DBS
- Certificate of progress for each course
- Up to 6 learners
Note that you must have enough licenses in your Learning Village membership to allocate to learners attending).
Price:
- £480+VAT for a maximum 8 for a 6 week periods (not including Learning Village membership costs)
